Using media such as sculpture, drawing or painting to create installations, Marina González Guerreiro (A Guarda, Spain, 1992) explores how major narratives are inserted in everyday settings through the subjectivisation and re-signification of objects. Her creative process is based on the accumulation of materials, turning the studio into an experimentation space populated by objects with the most diverse origins. Constructed out of precarious and recycled materials, her practice denotes precision and the search for a balance between order and disorder, control and chance.
She holds bachelor’s degrees in Fine Arts (University of Salamanca) and Art Production (Polytechnic University of Valencia). Her exhibitions include Generaciones 2025 (La Casa Encendida, Madrid), A era das fábulas (Museo de Pontevedra, 2024), Esta orilla es fruto (Galería Rosa Santos, Madrid, 2023), Interestratos (Museo Oteiza, Navarre, 2023), Un encuentro (Programa Art i Context, IVAM, 2023), Buen camino (La Casa Encendida, Madrid, 2022), Given Time (Intersticio, London, 2021), Tras cada delirio escapista (Bungalow, ChertLüdde, Berlin, 2021), Una promesa (Galería Rosa Santos, Valencia, 2020), LMXJVSD (Pols, Valencia, 2020), Work Hard, Dream Big (Internet Moon Gallery, Valencia, 2019).
